I Messed Up Book Tag

I was tagged for this by the wonderful Monique at That Wild Soul. Thank you for the tag, this one will be interesting AND difficult 😀

No rules per se but the idea of this tag is to note times you did something wrong or messed up when it comes to books and then tag a few people.

 

A Character’s Appearance You Misread or Imagined Differently

This is the only one I can think of…even though technically the books NEVER specify any ethnicity for Hermione. I honestly can’t remember what I had pictured for Hermoine before the movies, and I am very comfortable with Emma Watson as Hermoine so it has stuck with me. However, looking back I can see how Hermoine could very well be black, and I think its a phenomenal change. I am totlly okay with this ‘possible’ mistake on my part 😀

A Character Name You’ve Been Pronouncing Incorrectly

Most likely EVERY name from Game of Thrones lol.

An Overused Trope That Is Your Guilty Pleasure 

Enemies turned lovers.It is so overdone, and there really isn’t much you can do with it most of the time, but I can’t get enough. I dig it!

A Cliched Character Type You Enjoy Viewing On Screen Than Reading About

The broken a brooding emotional type. It pulls at my heart strings. As long as its done nicely. It can also be pretty annoying sometimes.

A Word/Phrase You Learned Because of Its Use In A Book

Nope. Can’t think of any. Sorry!

Have You Ever Not Read or Completed a Required Reading Book For School

Yes. I was required to read the Iliad in college, but since I had already read it I sort of skipped it.

Have You Ever (Or Wanted To) Skipped A Chapter From the POV of a Character You Weren’t Interested In

I actually do this all the time lol. Especially if its a re-read. I don’t fully skip though, I will skim to make sure I get the point.

Have You Ever Cancelled Social Plans To Read A Book

Actually I haven’t. Only because most of my social plans involve my BFF who is totally used to me pulling out a book to read.
